The team at Thomas Bragg and Sons Shirley branch recently held a successful Marie Curie cake sale, bringing together colleagues, family members and members of the local community to support a cause close to their hearts.
Staff and their families baked a variety of homemade cakes, alongside additional treats, helping to raise an impressive £215 for the charity. The event attracted a wonderful turnout, including local ministers, parents and children from a nearby school.
As funeral directors, the team works closely with Marie Curie and supports families during some of life’s most challenging moments. This made the fundraiser particularly meaningful, strengthening relationships with both the charity and the families they serve.
Reflecting on the event, the team said the most rewarding aspect was being able to support a worthy cause while continuing to offer guidance and care to local families. Their strong relationship with Marie Curie, combined with a desire to give back to the community, inspired them to organise the fundraiser.
